Good News Church seeks to be just that, Good News! Being the Good News to the world around us can come through many different avenues, but one of them is through selflessly serving those who are in need around us. Once a quarter, our church sets out to do hands on service in our communities. We want to be the hands, feet and mouthpiece of Jesus. Serving once a quarter doesn’t accomplish that all by itself, but it is a good start to help catalyze the movement we seek to see in our people’s daily lives.
Heres how you can get involved in an upcoming GNServiceProject:
— CANDY BY THE CARLOAD (Sun. October 29th from 4pm-6pm)
Each year, the City of Powell hosts “Candy by the Carload” in the parking lot of their City building (47 Hall Street, Powell). We will have our tent/booth set up and decorated as we hand out candy and invite cards and interact with our community. The event is on Sunday, October 29th from 4pm-6pm. Please let Cody Balch know if you are able to help with this fun event (costumes are strongly encouraged by the City of Powell for this event). — Cody Balch (937) 243-5447 or email@example.com.
— OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD (turn in your box at GNChurch by Nov. 12th)
We have a goal to fill 100 shoe-box size boxes filled with special gifts to send to kids in need. Learn and see more at this LINK. Jara Barreto is heading this project up, so please contact her with any questions that you might have: Jara Barreto (305) 915-8227 or firstname.lastname@example.org. GNChurch will have the boxes available, and you will need to drop them off at GNChurch by Sunday, November 12th so that the children will be able to receive them on Christmas Day.
