6th Grade—12th Grade:
Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers are way smarter than people give them credit for. They are able to handle full schedules of school, extra curricular activities, and their home-life. They aren’t into cheesy gimmicks anymore, and they crave things that are real, engaging, and mean something to the life and world they live in. This is why we expect 6th—12th graders to join the adults in the main worship space on Sunday mornings, and encourage them to get involved as volunteers at some level too. They can handle the content of our worship/sermon time and need it as much as the rest of us.
Outside of our worship gatherings, we believe that the Middle School and High School aged students can continue to engage and grow in their faith through their family’s GNCommunity, as well as special youth events that take place throughout the year. This model may not sound that flashy, but we actually believe this is the best model to help young men and women connect and grow so that when they leave home, they will have a better chance of taking on the world while staying committed to Christ.
